All the action and over the top storylines we expect, with the usual flamboyant outfits and bizarre special abilities. Not for the faint hearted....content warning for violence and occasional bad language. But if you've read any of these volumes you will already be aware of that.

I received this arc from netgalley and VIZ Media in exchange for my honest review.

'Author's comments:
Apparently, the Italian language doesn't use the letter "J", aside from a relative few cases, such as loanwords and archaisms. Unfortunately, that left me without any names I could use as a "JoJo" (which would be pronounced like "YoYo" anyway). Instead, for Part 5, I spelled the protagonist's name true to Italian: "GioGio".
Incidentally, in Italian the letter "H" is always silent, so sometimes my name gets pronounced not as "Hirohiko" but rather "Iroiko", and it makes me thin

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here.

Probably shouldn't have started with this one? I wanted to see what the fuss was about. Oh so campy with wild costumes. Probably shouldn't have started with this one? I wanted to see what the fuss was about. Oh so campy with wild costumes. ...more

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure certainly lives up to its name and this storyline is equally bizarre, taking the action from Japan to Italy to find the son of the series' most iconic antagonist: Dio. You'll find all the weird classic-rock based attacks, quirky personalities, and anatomically improbable poses you were expecting.

Recommended for fans of weird, infinitely long running shonen series with plenty of fight scenes and special moves.

On to the next part of Jojo!
I loved seeing Koichi again. He was my favorite from the last part. Reverb act 3 kills me with his random "Beeyitch" and "beyyatch" lol.
But even with seeing a familiar face, I'm not sure how I feel about this so far… Either I'm burnt out on Jojo or just not interested in this Italian mafia storyline. But I have loved all the previous parts, so I will continue reading and see where Giorno's story goes…
